What's up pizza people?!? This is The Slice, the newsletter that's cooler than the first time you turn on the AC. This week, we're talking all things spring! Bust out those shorts and put away your winter boots, cuz Milwaukee is about to wake up after a long winter!

SPRING FLING

We don't want to count our chickens before they hatch, but it SEEMS like it's finally spring! It's that time of year when the flowers start blooming, the grass is getting green, and patios everywhere are finally opening up after a seemingly endless winter. Let's start working on those tans (ya gotta get a base) and stretch our legs! One of our favorite parts of spring is the fresh produce and all the awesome new dishes that come with it. Speaking of which, meet our newest pizza, the Mean Girl - roasted garlic creme, spinach, smoked mozzarella, Nueske's bacon, marinated tomato, arugula, pesto, and aged goat cheddar!

PASSION PROJECT

We've covered this before, but another one of our favorite parts of spring is the transition from dark, spirit-heavy winter cocktails to lighter, refreshing spring crushers. Most people don't want to drink a Manhattan when it's finally 70 degrees for the first time all year - we want something citrusy and sessionable. Enter our newest cocktail, the Smash or Passionfruit! This bad boi is a tequila patio pounder through a tiki lens, featuring blanco tequila, passionfruit liqueur, vanilla, honey, lemon, allspice, and a wee bit of ginger! Try one soon, and pro tip: ask your server to "spritz it" to make it even more refreshing!

BACK ON THE WATER

Warmer weather means it's time to get those boats back on the water! Not only does this give us an excuse to wear those boat shoes we impulse-bought, but being out on Lake Michigan (or really any body of water) is incredibly freeing and relaxing. Since we're feeling extra nautical this week, we decided to run one of our favorite dockside treats as a special - Lobster Rolls! These tasty treats feature a buttery toasted brioche bun, packed full of lobster meat, dill, red onions, celery, chives, and just enough mayo to hold it all together - come try a few this weekend before they're gone forever!
