The Slice #35

from your friendly, neighborhood pizza joint

What's up pizza people?!? This is The Slice, the newsletter that keeps it hotter than the pavement at Summerfest. This week, we’re talkin’ tunes! Milwaukee has a killer music scene, and summer just kicks things up a notch!

THE BIGGEST GIG

One of the best parts of summer in Milwaukee is all the concerts. From Jazz in the Park, to Chill on the Hill, to all the street festivals, and everything in between - there is literally something for everyone! Of course, the king of them all is The Big Gig. Sure, the food’s not great and the drinks are overpriced, but Summerfest is a cultural institution in Milwaukee. It’s the straw that stirs the drink! This year’s lineup is stacked once again - which week has you the most pumped?

BOBBY! BOBBY! BOBBY!

Speaking of local music, our number one boy Bobby Knapp is playing a live show at Merriment Social this month! We’ve flirted with the idea of doing live music in the past, and now we’re going all-in. Catch Bobby and his band (and some bangin’ drink specials) June 16th at 9PM - it’s a free show!

You’re not gonna want to miss this!

PREGAME!

One of the best parts of going to a concert is making a whole night of it. Start with some dinner, catch the show, maybe even a few drinks afterwards to keep the good vibes going. What’s the perfect pregame meal? Pizza, of course! It’s communal, it’s not too fussy, and it’s perfect to soak up all those overpriced drinks! We’ve got a couple of hot new additions to the menu, just in time for concert season:

Stacy’s Mom - white sauce, bbq chicken, smoked cheddar blend, avocado ranch, pickled onion, crispy jalapeno

Mr. Potatohead - pesto cream, yukon potato, caramelized onion, fresh mozz, pickled ramp, pistachio, lemon honey
