OMG it's apple-picking season you guys! Call us basic, but we love throwing on our best fall outfits (in summer weather), hoofing it to one of our favorite orchards, and coming home with a metric ton of apples. If you want to skip the trip to the orchard, and the dozens of apple-centric recipes that inevitably follow, check out AeppelTreow Winery & Distillery! They're making small-batch apple cider and brandy just down the road in Burlington, and trust us - it's worth the drive!

THE BIG CHEESE
Did you know that Wisconsin is cranking out world-class Raclette? Alpinage Cheese has roots in France (where their founder and cheesemaker Orphee was born) and Wisconsin (where Orphee studied under Gerald Heimerl of Saxon Creamery). Now they're making their own version of the magnificently melty cheese. Order a wheel of the good stuff and have your own Raclette Party!

The Wide World of Pizza Styles
Here's a little peak into our process at Flourchild Pizza! We initially start with a completely finished idea and work backwards from there. For example: "We want to make a Detroit Style pizza with cheese curds". We will then create a prototype, and try it out on our staff or some lucky customers. Based on their feedback and our own thoughts, we will refine and iterate until we have a product we're psyched about. We've been thinking about all the different regional styles of pizza we can mess around with - and we want to get you, our dear readers, involved in this process. What do you want to see us do next?
